The Berrien Springs Oronoko Township Police is comprised of 10 full- and part-time police officers complemented by an armed reserve division of citizens who provide support to our officers during many community events; as well as a number of VIPS - Volunteers in Police Service - un-armed volunteers who help out in a variety of ways and the department sponsors a Law Enforcement Explorer Post through the Life Long Learning Division of the Boy Scouts of America. This program allows both male and female youth between the ages of 15-20 to determine if Law Enforcement is the correct career path for them.
The department shares its offices with the BSO Fire Department at the Oronoko Township Public Safety building. Our office hours varies and are posted weekly on our FACEBOOK PAGE, via NIXEL, and on our WEB PAGE.
The department works daily with the Andrews University Office of Campus Safety as well as the other public and private school districts in the Township and Village to ensure there is a safe learning environment at all of our school facilities and community.
